LDO StealthChanger Kit

A Professional Multi-Tool System for Voron 2.4

Transform your Voron 2.4 into an automated multi-material printing powerhouse with the LDO StealthChanger Kit, a configurable tool changing system designed and open-sourced by DraftShift. This innovative system enables your printer to automatically swap between different toolheads mid print, opening up unprecedented possibilities for multi material projects, colour changes, and varied nozzle sizes without manual intervention.

The StealthChanger replaces your current toolhead carriage with a shuttle system that can automatically swap between different tools. The shuttle mounts to your printer’s gantry just like a regular toolhead, but uses bushings and pins with magnets to quickly connect and disconnect tools. When you need a different tool, the printer moves to a dock, releases the current tool, picks up a new one and keeps printing.

Scalable Configuration: The V2.4 300mm supports up to 5 toolheads and the V2.4 350mm supports up to 6. The modular kit design allows you to start with one or two toolheads and expand as your needs grow, making it an ideal investment for makers, small production shops, and professional fabricators.

Extensive Toolhead Compatibility: The system is compatible with multiple toolheads, including Stealth Burner, Dragon Burner, Rapid Burner, Yavoth, XOL and Archetype, giving you flexibility to choose the right toolhead for each application.

Key Technical Advantages

The simplified StealthChanger design reduces the total part count compared to bearing-based systems for easier assembly and maintenance. Wear items such as bushings and pins are easily replaced. The system always knows which tool is attached thanks to the built-in tap sensor, and it’s compatible with most popular toolheads by bolting a simple backplate to existing mount points.

Build Volume Considerations: Approximately 76mm per tool is required for Blackbird, Stealth Burner, and XOL toolheads, with 20mm clearance needed on each side for gantry movement. Build volume is reduced in the Y and Z areas at the front of the build plate, with the exact amount depending on dock positioning and toolhead dimensions.

Setup Recommendations: USB is strongly recommended due to the complexity of managing multiple wire sets.

Base Kit

Requires 1 kit for each build

Base Kit is the essential foundation for transforming a Voron 2.4 into a state-of-the-art multi-tool 3D printer with DraftShift’s modular toolchanger design. Manufactured by LDO and co-developed with the Draft Shift team, this kit delivers the core mechanical and electronic components needed for a reliable, precision engineered tool changing system. The heart of the kit is its CNC-machined shuttle, engineered for smooth, repeatable motion and robust tool engagement, ensuring consistent operation in high cycle environments.

Included with the base kit are sturdy backplate components, the advanced Nitehawk-Hexa 6+1 USB hub adapter for streamlined toolboard management, and the precision CNC-machined SexBall probe for accurate calibration and probing tasks. All necessary mounting hardware, screws, nuts, bolts, standoffs, and cables are provided for fast, easy integration and professional-quality fitment.

Note: Power supply not included, allowing you to size appropriately based on your total toolhead count.

TopHat & Door Buffer Kit

(Requires 1 kit for each build)

This kit is a modular enclosure top and door buffering system. Developed and thoroughly tested in collaboration with the Draft Shift design team, this kit covers all essential hardware to construct the signature tophat enclosure, install a durable door buffer, and add a sturdy crossbar support—ensuring fit and finish that matches the precision of multi-toolhead hardware.

Each kit provides LDO-quality aluminum tophat extrusions in the size and color of your choice, precision clear polycarbonate panels for maximum visibility, and a horizontal beam to support the door buffer. Also included is a complete hardware pack with all necessary screws, nuts, bolts, standoffs, and brackets, simplifying assembly and guaranteeing a secure, rattle-free installation. While the kit contains everything needed on the hardware side, printed plastic parts are not included, allowing for fully customized prints to match individual preferences or printer modifications.

TopHat and Door Buffer Kit Includes:

Tool & Dock Kit

(Requires 1 kit for each toolhead)

Each Tool and Dock Kit provides all core electronics and dock hardware for one complete tool station, making it essential to purchase one kit per desired toolhead.

The Voron 2.4-300 supports up to five stations, while the 2.4-350 supports up to six.

Inside each kit you’ll find a Nitehawk-36 SC edition toolboard for dependable toolhead communication and sensor integration, a Voron Opto Tap sensor for consistent bed leveling, a user-soldered RGB Sequin for visual feedback, and a high CFM LDO fan to optimize thermal management. All required dock hardware, mounting brackets, screws, nuts, cables, and standoffs is included for straightforward installation. This streamlined setup makes adding or swapping toolheads quick and simple, with robust docking mechanics engineered for frequent and accurate use.

Hotend and extruder are not included in this kit, allowing full customization for specialty applications. Backed by LDO’s quality and the ongoing support of DraftShift development, the Stealthchanger Tool and Dock Kit deliver flexibility, durability, and a future-ready multi-material workflow for demanding Voron builds.
